STILL Game star Sanjeev Kohli enjoyed a sweet encounter with some glamorous dancers to promote a star-studded charity event.

The Kennedy Cupcakes are helping make sure Sanjeev knows his jitterbug from his Lindy hop ahead of The Childline Swing and Jive Ball.

They were joined by BBC Scotland weather presenter Judith Ralston to promote the event, at Glasgow's Crowne Plaza Hotel on Friday November 8.

Sanjeev said: "As a father of three, the welfare of children and young people is something that's very important to me.

"The fact that NSPCC Scotland is placing an emphasis on preventing child abuse before it starts, by offering services such as ChildLine, is something we should all support.

"I'm delighted to be co-hosting this year's ChildLine Ball in Glasgow with Judith, and I hope we can put the fun in fundraising for everyone who comes along on the night."

In 2011-12, volunteers at ChildLine's Glasgow base helped more than 38,000 children and young people over the phone from all over the UK.

At the ball, guests will be treated to a drinks reception, four course meal, auction, live entertainment from Stirling Austin's Swing and Soul Band and dancing till late.

As the flagship event in NSPCC Scotland's calendar, the charity is encouraging businesses and individuals to treat clients, colleagues and friends to a memorable evening while raising funds to ensure that children in Scotland have somewhere to turn to when they need help.

ChildLine has been providing support and advice across the UK since 1986.

Tickets for the ball are priced at £100 each, or £1000 for a table of 10. To book call the NSPCC Scotland events team on 0844 892 0212 or email scotlandevents@nspcc.org.uk
