THE glamour and glitter of the Strictly Live show waltzes into town tonight to begin a three-day extravaganza at the Hydro.

Stars of the hit TV show, including this year's winner Caroline Flack and Scottish rugby's Thom Evans, will grace the stage alongside judge Craig Revel Horwood and host Zoe Ball.

Thom said: "I am really looking forward to dancing in Glasgow - even if I am a bit worried about what my Warriors team-mates might say..."

He grins: "Being on the TV show was an amazing experience but I left too early. I can't wait to have another go and show everyone what I'm capable of.

"The Glasgow audience will be the best on the tour - everyone who has done it before says the reception you get when you walk out on to the Hydro stage is just incredible. I can't wait."

Professional dancer Karen Hauer, who is dancing with TV presenter Mark Wright, agrees: "I'm not a big fan of matinee shows, because who wants to really dance at two in the afternoon? But in Glasgow, even the matinee audiences are amazing. When the lights go off and the music starts - wow, the roar is deafening."

There are some changes to the Strictly Live line-up this year - Zoe Ball hosts, and TV judges Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli have been replaced by former Strictly champion Tom Chambers and his partner Camilla Dallerup.

Pregnant Saturdays singer Frankie Bridges, who was originally in the line-up, has reluctantly withdrawn on the advice of her doctor.

She will be replaced by popstar Rachel Stevens, who was runner-up in the 2008 BBC1 series and went on to dance around the country in the 2009 Strictly Tour. Rachel, who also appeared in the 2014 Christmas Special, will perform on the 2015 tour with pro dancer, Kevin Clifton.

She said: "I know Frankie's disappointed not to be doing the tour - I was supporting Team Frankie during the show and she was fantastic, but I'm happy to be able to step in for her.

"It's no secret that I loved my time in Strictly and that I'm a big fan of the dances so I'm excited to be back."

Rachel, Caroline, Mark and Thom will join Simon Webbe, Scott Mills and Alison Hammond on stage in Glasgow tonight.
