AUTHOR Val McDermid is to have a mortuary named after her.
The writer, from Kirkcaldy was among authors who backed a £1m campaign by Dundee University for a morgue that will better preserve bodies.
A dissecting room will be named after another Scottish crime writer, Stuart MacBride.
