When none of his classmates RSVPed to Odin Camus's 13th birthday party in Peterborough, Ontario, his mum Melissa was heartbroken.
The schoolboy has difficulty making lasting friendships and was often taunted in class - so in a last-ditch attempt, Melissa took to social media to ask for well-wishing text messages so that he felt 'special' and 'like people care about him'.

But when her post got 16,000 retweets, Odin received more than 4000 texts from around the world.
Hundreds of people turned up to the party at the local bowling alley with presents and cake, and Canadian sports teams wished him a happy birthday on their pages.
What a night! Awesome turnout for an amazing guy. #odinbirthday pic.twitter.com/EbwgeFHMJa
