Charity Ambassador James donated an electronic X-Men bike signed by cast members of the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past as an auction lot for this year's Yorkhill Dinner.
Patients Sam Hanna, aged eight, and Kyle Moir, four, joined dinner host DJ Des Clarke at Glasgow's Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome where they launched the event, which takes place on Friday November 1.
The X-Men bike is signed by James McAvoy and fellow cast members, including Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult.
The signed bike is worth an estimated £6000 and is one of the event's top auction lots.
Shona Cardle, Chief Executive of Yorkhill Children's Charity, said: "We are extremely excited about this year's dinner and aim to build on last year's success.
"The dinner is the highlight of our year, allowing everyone who has Yorkhill at heart to come together to celebrate in style and recognise the invaluable work of the charity."
Yorkhill Children's Charity has donated more than £13 million over the last 12 years.
