THE kind-hearted members of Glasgow’s reality show Glow have spread some festive cheer at the Royal Hospital for Children.

The cast took sackfuls of presents to patients at the hospital which they paid for with their own cash.

Star Joanne Ferry said: “It is heartbreaking to think that some of the kids will be missing out on things like school parties, nativity plays and visits to the panto because they aren’t well enough to go this year. It was a real honour to spend some time with them and we hope they enjoy their gifts and have a good Christmas.

“It is so easy to get caught up in all the excitement of the festivities and forget about the people who are in hospital and the amazing staff who are spending Christmas at work, away from their families and friends. It was a humbling experience and I think it made us all appreciate how lucky we are. ”

The Christmas special of Glow will be aired on Thursday at 9pm.
