TOWIE’S Chloe Sims was calm and composed at the Scottish Entertainment Awards despite all the drama that was happening on her telly show on Sunday.

The Only Way Is Essex lady might have been involved in a controversial on-screen tussle with her co-star Jon Clark after he talked about her behind her back, but she was all smiles at the Merchant Square bash.

It was very refreshing to meet a reality star who wasn’t too caught up in the hype about the show.

In between a few brief checks of her phone to answer all the feedback she was getting on social media following the row.

She told me: “There’s been a lot of lows and highs and I don’t regret anything. I’m still here. This is all glitzy but I live a pretty normal life in Essex. I go to the odd event but Monday to Friday I’m normally at home and with my daughter in my pjs.”

She told me she’d just had a glitzy party for her 13-year-old daughter, but as a single mum she is very conscientious about staying true to good family values.

And she said she’d never leave her to go on a show like I’m a Celebrity or Big Brother because she couldn’t bear to be apart from her for so long.

Chloe was at the bash as a guest of Quiz clothing and was looking stunning in her glitzy frock.

WILD AND UNPREDICTABLE

FORMER Big Brother winner Josie Gibson was co hosting the Ents awards bash in the Merchant City with Capital radio presenter Des Clarke.

She began telling me how much she loves kilt wearing lads, but our chat was interrupted as Cambuslang illusionist Chris De Rosa went on stage to cut a woman in half.

His assistant almost ended up in more pieces than planned after the trick began to go wrong halfway through the performance and the trolley she was on threatened to fall off the stage.

Thankfully Chris rescued the lady in distress and remained a cool pro till the end.

He did after all survive being run over by a truck during the festive season so he’s battled worse situations in his life.

It was pretty thrilling though.
