THIS week, I was delighted to attend the launch of United with Labour, Scottish Labour's campaign for next year's referendum.

FOR many of the women taking part, the Glasgow 10K was much more than a road race: it was a poignant tribute to loved ones who had passed away or marked the end of months of fundraising for various worthy causes.

IT is one of Scotland's most anticipated running events of the year inspiring thousands to get out on the streets and get fit.

NOT for nothing is Glasgow known as the Dear Green Place.
