Visitors can input their height, weight and level of physical exercise (alongside much more private information), some professional info and then their worth is computed. Luckily, the site adheres to a kind of Loreal style, ‘You’re worth it’ vaulation scheme so you will never get the answer: three quid and a packet of crisps.

Japanese games shows are perennially bemusing and none is more so than this bizarre competition. Entrants have to count as high as they can in English, whilst a group of people in a classroom watch them. What happens next is more than a little unclear, but it looks as if anyone that laughs at the earnest competitor’s attempts to count is dragged away from their desk, made to bend over and then spanked with a ruler. You wouldn’t catch Noel Edmunds doing this on Deal or No Deal!
