WHEN plus-size model Kaela Humphries made her catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week in 2011, all eyes were on who was not – rather than who was – sitting in the front row.

The elder sister of American basketball star Kris Humphries was expected to be watched by her famous sister-in-law, Kim Kardashian, yet the Los Angeles socialite's absence was reported around the world.

Now Kaela, the Minnesota-born former competitive swimmer and ex-medical rep, is making a splash in the UK as the latest face of curvy clothing emporium Evans.

The 29-year-old brings plenty of curve appeal to the Spring 2013 campaign.

Kaela, a size 20 model, is signed to New York-based model agency Ford and has appeared on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Kourtney And Kim Take New York.

She said: "It is important for me to wear clothes that make me feel good and flatter my shape.

"In my opinion everyone is beautiful.

"Believing in yourself is the first step to body confidence."

Evans, which specialises in clothes for sizes 14-32, will launch its Swan collaboration with luxury label Clements Ribeiro in May.

The campaign will be fronted by five UK and US plus-sized bloggers.
