It all adds up to fun

THEY ran in memory of lost loved ones, they ran to raise money for an excellent cause.

And, in the end, whatever the reason, they did it magnificently.

Some 10,000 women took part in Glasgow's Race for Life - one of a chain of events taking place around the country to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

The organisers hope that the race will raise around £950,000 - a lot more than the £700,000 that was estimated to have been raised by the same event last summer.

Watched and cheered on by thousands of their menfolk and their children, the women raced round the 5K course in picturesque Bellahouston Park.Click on the following link to download the pages as they appear in the print edition.
