OPENING WINDOWS ON PAST

STAINED glass windows from Glasgow's historic past that were last seen almost 50 years ago have been returned to their original home.

The windows, dating from 1878, form the centrepiece of a £9million project to restore Maryhill Burgh Halls.

The panels are considered among the finest pieces of non-religious stained glass in Scotland and were taken out of the halls for safekeeping in 1963.
