CHRISTMAS will have added sparkle for some of Glasgow's most vulnerable families this festive season, thanks to Streets Ahead.
Glasgow Housing Association's South Area Committee funded packs full of festive goodies for children across the South Side.
GHA volunteers joined tenants to prepare the hampers, which included tins of food, sweets, decorations and a gift voucher so families can make sure their kids don't miss out at Christmas.
The hampers were delivered by GHA staff to more than 450 tenants in time for Christmas.
Wilma Masterton, committee chairwoman, said: "Christmas can be an expensive time, so I'm delighted we can provide a little something for families who might need some extra help.
"It's important we do what we can to make sure our tenants can enjoy the festive period – and I hope these hampers provide a little Christmas cheer."
The Starter Packs charity – which supplies packs of useful items for homeless people across the city moving into permanent accommodation – also included Christmas items donated by GHA.
