OPINION – Thank you to all our champion winners

WHAT A great night, and what a list of thoroughly well deserved Glasgow Community Champions.

Loading Comments

The winners emerged from yet another fantastic year of our Community Champion awards across the city, which showed once again the wealth of public spirit among people of all ages and backgrounds all over Glasgow.

From our Young Award winner Evanna Lynas to our Senior champion, Kate Semple, they all showed enthusiasm to help others, whether in fund-raising, volunteering or community organising.

The awards are Glasgow's chance to say thank you to the people who give their time and effort to make the city a better place and are possible because of the support form our Community Champion partners.

Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Housing Association, Strathclyde Police, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, and Community Planning Partnerships all ensure we are able to give recognition to those who work selflessly to help others.

Each winner, finalist and nominee across the city makes this event the success that it is, and the unstinting enthusiasm of the communities who turn up to show their support lets the winners know their efforts are appreciated.

Well done, and thank you to all our Community Champions.
