The work of men and women like James Steel in Haiti is nothing short of inspirational.
His description of the ‘Hell on Earth’ scenes in and around Port Au Prince reflect the experiences of all who witnessed the disaster at first hand.
Like all Haiti’s vounteers James’ determination to help the victims overrode his personal shock at what he was witnessing.
And it is testament to the determination of all involved in the rescue operation that they have played their part in saving some of those caught in the tragedy.
Glasgow has played its part in supporting the relief effort and it is essential we all continue to help provide hope for the survivors desperately trying to rebuild their shattered lives. Give generously.
