POINTS OF VIEW: Fuel faux pas cop-out

Interesting that once again Strathclyde Police have "wasted" more taxpayers' money on filling up with the wrong fuel (Monday).

I note that Robert Oxley suggests a simple reminder on fuel caps would help to reduce these blunders.

Sorry Robert, don't waste any more of our money on incompetence.

We are dealing with "adults" here.

To stop this carelessness once and for all, simply inform police vehicle drivers that they will be responsible these unnecessary costs!

Believe me, it will end overnight!

Draw a blank

I AGREE with the former smoker featured in your article regarding plan packaging for cigarettes (Monday).

I think removing branding from tobacco packaging could be a step forward in putting youngsters off taking up smoking.

I think a blank packet without any eye-catching colours and logos will be a good start in the fight to get people to ditch the habit.

Picture perfect

WELL done to the Evening Times for the excellent Women's 10K pull-out (Monday).

I couldn't wait to snap up my Evening Times to view pictures of the event and to see my daughter's name and time in the paper. The pictures were as usual excellent.

Kids show joy

I LOVED your picture on your memories page of youngsters at Springburn Co-op Halls (Monday).

The kids looked like they were having a great day.

An all-rounder

I HOPE Glasgow is able to get the big wheel back later this year (Saturday).

It's been a welcome addition to George Square and always appeared busy with tourists.
