They are polite, courteous, amiable and always smiling despite the weather.
These Lollipop Ladies are an example to all in employment who moan, groan and decry their daily jobs.
They bring a touch of sunshine into my corner of Mosspark and are an example to all.

Bench mark
THE statues around George Square are so lovely to look at on a sunny day and are very much part of the city's history.
To keep the plaques and pedestals of these statues clean, why doesn't Glasgow City Council place more benches around them?
Mind you, some of the existing memorial benches in the square look distinctly tatty and could do with some refurbishment as well.

Wiped off map
BEING of Scottish/Irish decent I noticed that on Google maps Scotland is not named "Scotland", it is instead called "United Kingdom."
It looks like Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland just got digitally swallowed up by England.
I guess William Wallace and many other Scotsmen who fought and bled for independence died for nothing.
Ireland, though, is still named "Ireland" on Google maps.

Pond picture
AS usual, your Memories page brought a smile to my face.
The picture from the 1950s of the model boat regatta in Largs (Wednesday) was great.
The youngsters looked so excited at the prospect of racing their yachts against one anther.
