FEATHERED FRIENDS
A fluttering and fragile trend is taking flight from the red carpets and onto the high street.
Feathers are a key look for the new season, with Emily Blunt going for a peacock hair accessory at The Wolfman premiere, and both Jessica Alba and Anne Hathaway wearing feathered frocks at the premiere of Valentine’s Day.
Here’s our pick of the plumes with panache...

COFFEEBERRY YOGA FACIAL
Two things I’ve never enjoyed – yoga and coffee – don’t seem like the comfiest of bedfellows, with one supposed to relax you and the other having the opposite effect.
But a new facial using Priori’s CoffeeBerry range aims to harness the antioxidant properties of the coffee fruit with acupressure techniques to lift and firm skin.
Instead of relaxing into a treatment (which takes me a good 10 minutes), therapist Lorraine “aligns” my body by stretching my neck, shoulders, arms and legs before a head massage.
My make-up is removed with a revitalising cleanser before the active enzyme masque is painted in a thick layer onto my face – its tingling sensation would border on uncomfortable if it wasn’t for the arm and hand massage that’s distracting me while the enzyme zaps off dead skin cells.
After another cleanse (there’s a mild coffee odour to the cleanser, but it’s not off-putting), the day complex is massaged into the skin, stimulating pressure points. The facial ends with tightening serum, brightening complex and a slick of sun protection.
Afterwards, my skin feels really plumped and smooth, but the next day one side of my face felt a bit like it had been sunburnt, which I guess was the power of the enzyme.
- The Yoga Facial is £75 at Ellen Conlin Hair & Beauty, Hyndland Road (0141 339 8223) or Fenwick Road, Giffnock (0141 638 0331)
Finishing touch
Most of us would baulk at shelling out £295 for a dress, but it seems less extravagant when it’s adorned by a Diane Von Furstenberg label.
The Sex And The City-favourite designer is sure to put a spring in your step this season with this colourful offering.
The Della Fern georgette dress is available from Cruise at 180 Ingram Street, 0844 800 4622, www.cruisefashion.co.uk
