Andy Dobinson, Jim Murray and Robert Young won the right to test the track after they completed Scotland's first 24-hour cycling endurance event at Knockhill Racing Circuit.
Record-breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont launched the Cycle the World challenge for the disability charity Enable.
The event challenged cyclists to cycle the world – 18,296 miles – in a 24 hour endurance event.
The new Glasgow track, part of the £113 million Emirates Arena in the East End, is one of the biggest velodromes in Europe and will be used for the 2014 Commonwealth games.
