I WOULD like to know why, on the ScotRail website, I can buy an off-peak day return from Glasgow to Preston, 155 miles away, for £35.60, while I cannot buy a day return for the much shorter, 80-mile, journey from Glasgow to Dundee and have to buy a so-called saver at £36.40 – 80p more?
Is it because there is no competition on internal rail services in Scotland?

GREAT to read that so many youngsters want to copy Bradley Wiggins' Tour de France success.
But remember, Bradley rides on roads or tracks.
There are already far too many lunatic cyclists on our city's pavements.
It's only a matter of time before a child or senior citizen is mown down by one these thoughtless idiots. It's time the police acted.
THE decision of the Scottish Government to legalise same-sex marriage is welcome.
Young people in Glasgow and across Scotland have been united in calling for this change and I'm proud that it is now on its way to becoming a reality.
In the Scottish Youth Parliament's manifesto, which is based on the responses from 42,804 young people in Scotland, 74% supported equal marriage.
This is a massive civil rights victory and a step towards a truly equal Scotland.

I WAS shocked to hear about the flag gaffe at Hampden Park on Wednesday night.
I just hope this sort of mistake is never allowed to happen again.
I'm not surprised the football team walked off the pitch for an hour.
I LOVED your picture of the peregrine falcons in the Red Road flats (Thursday).
What an amazing picture and story.
