STEVEN NAISMITH has revealed his determination to fire Rangers to Co-Operative Insurance Cup success - and banish one of the most painful memories of his career.

Before his £1.9million signing for Gers in August 2007, Naisy notched a hat-trick to help Killie dump Falkirk in the then CIS Cup semi-final and book a place in the 2007 final against Hibs.

But his joy turned to misery when the Ayrshire side were thrashed 5-1 by the Easter Road men.

And he said: "It was one of the best nights of my career when I scored the hat-trick to put Kilmarnock in the final, but it was not to be and we took a sore one of Hibs and that still hurts.

"So I am desperate to help Rangers go all the way and hopefully help put that one to bed.

"But Falkirk are a very good footballing team and one of the best passing sides in the SPL.

"They have a lot of good players and it is a surprise that they are where they are in the SPL, but this is a big game for them and it gives them a break from the league. So they will be well up for this tie and no team makes a semi-final if they are not a decent one."

And despite being rested for Saturday's SPL battle with Aberdeen at Pittodrie Naismith says he is ready to fire on all cylinders tonight.

He said: "I just want to get as many games under my belt as possible right now."

Tickets for tonight's semi-final will be on sale at Hampden Park from Ticket Booths from 5.00 pm until kick-off.

Rangers supporters should purchase tickets from the Ticket Office Booth located at the South West side of the Stadium adjacent to Lesser Hampden (Letherby Drive).

Rangers will also be selling tickets from their Ticket Offices from 10.00 am and 4.00 pm today.
