Why did the Yelper cross the road? To eat some chicken, of course! This week, we've got something to crow about, since wings and all things chicken are ruling the roost on the Glasgow dining scene.

Buddy's Bar Diner Grill, 677 Pollokshaws Road, Glasgow South Side

Tom M tried the "chipotle chicken wings, just 6, but they're sizeable, with crispy breaded coating and smothered in lovely smokey chipotle. They really are fabulous and I'd happily sit with a portion of twelve and work my way through them."

Opium, 191 Hope StreSet, Glasgow City Centre

Start with the "chicken Shu Mai - 4 steamed dumplings with chicken, king prawn and coriander. Perfectly steamed and deliciously moist," raves Gordon M.

Nando's, St Enoch Centre, Glasgow City Centre

Lex G is "having a love affair with Nando's. Moist, succulent chicken with that kick of flavour that the peri-peri provides. It makes me weak at the knees. It's nom nom nom-tastic."

The Squid & Whale, 372 Great Western Road, Glasgow West End

Sharon M loved the "tequila chicken. This was really interesting and I've tasted nothing like it before! Boneless chicken thighs coated in paprika, tequila, lime, honey, pineapple, coconut & agave nectar. It was tangy and floral, but in a beautiful way. It had clearly been cooked slowly and basted with the tequila glaze as the meat was so tender. The chicken was served with spring onion mashed potato and crispy fried onions, which looked amazing as a garnish."

Malmaison Brassiere, 278 West George Street, Glasgow G2 4LL

Jen W "ordered the buttermilk fried chicken with waffles and maple syrup. It was so peculiar to see on a British brunch menu that I just couldn't help myself! I found the chicken to be crisp and tender."

The Richmond Bar & Bistro, 144 Park Road, Glasgow West End

" The Caesar Salad with Chicken - which was served with Parmesan, avocado, anchovies and all the good stuff that goes with a Caesar is also worth a try on a warm evening," recommends Pammi G.
