Today is World Whisky Day.
People across the world are invited celebrate the water of life on May 20.
Countries around the world are hosting events to get people involved in tasting whiskies and meeting others who also enjoy a wee dram.
World Whisky Day was created in 2011 to encourage as many new people as possible to discover how brilliant whisky is.
Those who want to get involved are encouraged to share a dram with a 'whisky newbie', post online or use the hashtag #WorldWhiskyDay.
