A NEW nightclub is set to open in Glasgow's Merchant City.

Tuxedo describes itself as "an upscale nightlife experience" and will open on Albion Street.

The venue is inspired by New York’s neo-speakeasy scene, and comprises of a large bar and club area with luxurious booth seating, dancefloors and two VIP suites.

Resident and guest DJs will play a mixture of commercial, disco and RnB classics. Tuxedo also claims to have a specially curated drinks menu and dapper waiting staff who will deliver the finest customer experience.

A spokesman for Tuxedo said, “The vision for Tuxedo was to create a bar and clubbing experience in the city to rival all others.

"Tuxedo will be the go-to destination in Glasgow and will provide an atmosphere that we feel the city has been lacking in until now.

"It will attract a crowd from near and far; it’s a sophisticated place where people will want to be seen.

"The environment at Tuxedo will impress our exclusive clientele from the moment they walk in.

"We know our clients are cultured and expect a bespoke service and décor that reflects their tastes."

Tuxedo will open its doors this summer with an invitation only launch event. Opening date will be announced on Tuxedo’s social media channels in June.
