A GLASGOW Indian restaurant has come up with the perfect hangover cure and palate cleanser for St Patrick’s Day.

The top chefs at Merchant City eaterie The Dhabba have concocted special green cocktail Aam Panna using a blend of spices and herbs indigenous to Northern India.

Owner Navdeep Basi reckons St Paddy’s day boozers might just benefit from the drink after a heavy weekend of drinking.

He said: “Aam Panna is mainly consumed in North India and is considered beneficial in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

“It is also a good source of vitamin B1and B2, niacin, and vitamin C.

“In Indian culture, it is regarded as a tonic believed to increase resistance against tuberculosis, anemia, cholera and dysentery. It is very cooling and may very well be the perfect curer after a St Paddy’s Day binge.

“Of course, those who wish can add vodka or other spirits to continue their celebrations.”
