A NEW Lebanese/Syrian restaurant could open in the city's Saltmarket after plans were approved.
Beirut Sky Limited have been given planning permission to develop a unit which was previously a grocery shop and butcher.
The restaurant, which would have an outdoor seating area, originally wanted to open Monday to Thursday 9am to midnight, and Friday to Saturday, 9am to 2am.
But city planners stipulated that they would grant permission on the basis the premises would open 8am to midnight, seven days a week.
Work had already started on the project after the owner was granted permission for a hot food carry out.
