The 26-year-old Polish victim was seriously injured and needs plastic surgery to reconstruct the top of his ear.
Police today said they are treating the attack by tiny thugs as racially motivated and appealed for anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
As reported in yesterday's Evening Times, a 10-year-old was among the tiny thugs who targeted the man as he walked along a street in Parkhead.
A police spokesman said: "This incident is being treated as a racially aggravated attack and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area to come forward."
The 26-year-old victim will need plastic surgery after the assault but has not suffered any damage to his hearing.
He was targeted by the gang of five youths as he walked along Helenvale Street with three female friends on Sunday.
As the man neared the junction with Tollcross Road at 6pm with his three female friends, when he was serious assaulted by a group of five youths.
The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he was treated for head injuries then later released.
The group of youths were aged between 10 and 18-years-old.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
