CHARITY work by staff at the Hilton Glasgow hotel has been recognised by the company at national level.

Events organised by staff at the William Street hotel include a ball which raised £87,000 for Hilton in the Community and the Stewart & McKenna Foundations.

The staff efforts were praised at Hilton in the Community Foundation's national fundraising workshop.

Craig Gardner, the hotel's general manager said: "There are so many fantastic community charities and organisations that really need help and we are delighted to be able to provide some measure of support."
