DELIGHTED fans of the hit Disney movie High School Musical had their dreams come true thanks to an Evening Times competition.

Three lucky readers and their families won the chance to attend the opening night of the ice show at Braehead Arena in Glasgow.

The Boyle family, of Glasgow, couldn't believe their luck as Demie, 11, Devyn, eight, and Denver, two, joined their dad Peter to meet the cast on the ice.

Lindsay Chambers and her girls Kerry, 10, and Mia, two, of Glasgow, also enjoyed the spectacular night and grabbed their chance to get to know the cast.

Six-year-old Skye MacIntyre and her three-year-old sister Caillie, of Westerton, were mesmerised by the globe-trotting show, which is at the arena until Sunday.

If you know anyone who is under the age of 12 then there's no way you could've missed the story of East High School and its energetic pupils.

The touring ice production is one of three delighting fans all over the world with the feel-good boy-meets-girl story.

It mirrors the film, which was so successful it made international stars of Zac Efron, who plays Troy, and Vanessa Hudgens, who is Gabriella.

And the Braehead show also features some local talent in the shape of 34-year-old Stuart MacDonald, from Cumbernauld, who is the captain of High School Musical.
