GOOD news and bad news.

The good: after what feels like an eternity, Death Disco is back at The Arches on Saturday with an enormous tenth birthday blow-out.

The bad? One more party and then it's done. After a decade of disco debauchery this electro institution is calling time on its monthly events.

Saturday sees perennial favourites Crookers return to The Arches' stage, bringing their punchy, fidgety electro so adored by the DD crowd.

They are joined by Stockholm duo Savage Skulls and long-time residents DJ Mingo-go and Josh Jones, who will warm up with filthy electro. The night's last stand is just a fortnight away: more on that when we've come to terms with it.

ANYONE who's seen Ivan Smagghe – on his own or with Black Strobe – knows he can kick out devastatingly good minimal electro.

His current project, It's A Fine Line, is a collaboration with fellow Frenchman Tim Paris and features more hooks and grooves than Smagghe fans might be used to.

This all-day party in Washington Street's Old Whisky Bond has a "bring a toy with you" theme and support from residents Ja'ames and Chris Reid.

FLOSSTRADAMUS – a duo of Autobot and J2K, from Chicago – have been a staple at hip US festivals for the past year, featuring at Coachella and South by Southwest.

Here, they've grazed the Top 50, guesting on Toddla T's hit Take It Back, but their wonky hip-hop/dubstep – known as "trap" – full of chopped and screwed minimal beats, piercing synths and cut-up vocal samples has no place in the mainstream. The Buff won't know what's hit it.
