RADIO 1's Annie Mac brings her London club night on tour, stopping in at the O2 Academy this evening.

The dance doyenne headlines, naturally, but her guests are also pretty exciting.

There is dubstep trio Magnetic Man, dance hall producer Redman, and Hackney quartet Rudimental, with a special guest DJ appearance from UK garage sensation Disclosure.

THE city that gave birth to techno has been celebrated in a three-month run of nights at Queen Street's La Cheetah Club, and now its final fling is upon us.

Tomorrow night's special guest is the genre's originator, Juan Atkins, in his Metroplex guise.

The parallels between Glasgow and Detroit run deep – both are gritty, tough, former centres of industry with flourishing creative scenes and so it is little surprise that it is a genre so embraced here.

With guests such as Eddie "Flashin'" Fowkles, Keith Tucker and DJ Godfather, the Motor City Electronics series has not just highlighted the music of Detroit – it has paid tribute to the artists who helped build the genre without perhaps getting as much of the attention as Jeff Mills or Richie Hawtin.

TALK about growing old gracefully: Pressure's 14th birthday celebration features a line-up that could put any club in the world to shame.

Green Velvet, aka Chicago's Curtis Jones headlines, his dark, sometimes industrial-sounding techno a perfect match for the occasion.

Parisian producer Paul Ritch plays live and Londoner Maya Jane Coles brings her house stylings.

Combining Chicago house with Detroit and UK techno, Berghain resident Norman Hodge makes his Arches debut, while turntablist DJ Yoda pops up with a live audio-visual show.

And that is before we have even mentioned the 5am finish, or that local heroes Vitamins and Animal Farm will be warming up.
