HOGMANAY.

Where do we even begin to list the dizzying variety of ways you can bring in 2013?

Let's try The Arches, where a full house will see in the New Year with hard dance don George Bowie and his GBXperience (£30).

Throw in a 4am finish and the demented sound of Angerfist and you've got a pretty extreme night to look forward to.

Sub Club's momentous 25th year ends in style, with Norwegian space disco's finest exponent Prins Thomas (£18) and Subculture residents Harri and Domenic in the booth.

Club Noir's Hogmanay (£20) takes over the Classic Grand and features two floors of excitement and well-dressed debauchery, while 90s trance legend Chicane (£25) headlines at the O2 Academy.

The Ashton Lane Hogmanay Street Party (£25) has Sketch and a piper to toast the bells, while In and Out The Buff (£10) also takes it outside, onto Bath Lane.

La Cheetah team up with Vitamins to bring yet another Detroit legend – Terrence Parker this time – to Queen Street (£20), while the irrepressible Optimo (£20) have themselves, Auntie Flo and Hushpuppy in the cavernous Glue Factory.

Melting Pot are joined by house duo 6th Borough Project at The Admiral (£10).

Indie kids celebrate Hogmanay too you know, so thank goodness for The Flying Duck's Common People 90s Hogmanay Party (£15). It features indie-poppers Bis on DJ duties.

Over in Finnieston, Soom T, Chungo Bungo and Mungo's Hi-Fi will be rolling mad heavy at the SWG3 Warehouse Party (£20), while at The Berkeley Suite Billy Woods and Horse Meat Disco (£20) team up for an underground disco session of epic proportions.

You can choose to "rave your face off" at Audio with Taz Buckfaster, or enjoy some house sounds with Shaka at Bloc for free – an attractive option – but then so is Glasgow City Social Club (£20), which has Gavin Herlihy and Adam Shelton on at Saint Judes.

Chambre 69 hosts the Deadly Rhythm crew alongside I Hate Fun and S-Type (£15), Blackfriar's Basement has a special edition of Osmium (£7), and the Brunswick Hotel has Basura Blanca presenting Mia Dora and Thunder Disco Club (£10).

Or, you know, you could just stay in.
