Festival season is well under way and next weekend T in the Park will kick off, celebrating its 20th year.
I'm not the best at travelling light when it comes to beauty products - I can't do hand luggage on a plane journey as sticking to the 100ml limit is not my strong point!
However, when it comes to festivals, it really is best to travel light and pack your beauty bag well. Yes, we want to look good, but sitting on the floor of a tent doing your make-up with a hand mirror is so not easy.
With this in mind I thought I'd cover my pick of five festival beauty must-haves, the essentials for looking good with minimal fuss and light luggage.
Batiste dry shampoo
We've all been there at a festival - hair that smells of beer and cigarettes. Give your hair a daily freshen up over the festival weekend with one of Batiste's dry shampoos. Choose from their range of lovely smells including Tropical, with a scent of coconut, or Blush, which smells of fresh flowers.
The Body Shop Vitamin E facial mist
I'm the first to lecture about how face wipes can dry out your skin, but unless you're planning on carrying a sink with you or a stack of cotton pads, your usual skincare routine has no choice but to go out of the window for festival weekend. If you are going to use wipes, spray this lovely Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist over your face to restore moisture, refresh and protect your skin.
L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique Anti-Fatigue CC Cream
Ditch the foundation in favour of a CC cream for festival weekend. This one by L'Oreal comes out the tube white and magically adapts to the tone of your own skin, so if you miss a bit, it's no big deal! It offers a lovely coverage, plus the benefits of a moisturiser, which means you can carry one less thing.
Bobbi Brown's Pot Rouge
A powder blusher means carrying a brush - again, so not festival friendly. So choose a cream blush, like Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge which you can apply with fingers. This product can also be used to add colour to lips, which means you can leave your favourite lipstick at home - hooray! My favourite is Pale Pink, but there are lots of lovely colours to choose from.
Bourjois Effect Smoky Pencil
This clever eye-liner also has a brush on the end for smudging, so you can work a punk smoky eye without the need to carry eyeshadow and brushes. Easy to apply and blend, it can be used as eyeliner and eyeshadow - perfect for fast, festival ready make-up.
