THESE rock fans had a bit of a wait on their hands back in 1977.
The long queue snaked along Renfrew Street and down West Nile Street as eager concert-goers geared up to get in to the legendary Apollo Theatre.
They were all clutching tickets to see the US super group The Eagles.
The smell of burgers and fried onions filled the air as on the corner as they waited for the doors to open.
Of course, the burger bar is now long gone, as is the Apollo, to be replaced by the massive Cineworld.
People have been drawn to the site - to see either a film or stage show - since Green's Playhouse opened there in 1927.
The Eagles will again entertain the masses when they arrive at the Hydro arena in May as part of their "History of the Eagles" concert tour
