IT ALL looks rather different now - in some respects.
Chalk boards were used in 1955 to tell these passengers when their trains were expected at Glasgow Central Station - all rather different from the electronic displays that keep travellers informed these days.
There is no sign of the trendy modern coffee chain behind the familiar shop frontages either, although there was a refreshment room just behind these travellers.
The fashions tell their own tale. Younger men with opened neck shirts, the older ones sticking to the tradition of not going out without a hat and even a handkerchief in the top pocket.
Despite the passing of the years, the 15-inch Howitzer shell is still sited in the station, although it has been moved from the middle of the station and now stands at the Gordon Street exit.
