THE organisers of a new women's 10k event are teaming up with a national breast cancer charity.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer has been announced as the charity partner for the Women's Running 10k Race Series.
It is the first time the event has been held in Scotland.
The race, which costs £26 to enter, will be staged in Strathclyde Park, Lanarkshire, on Saturday September 6.
Christina Macdonald, editor of Women's Running Magazine said: "These events are suitable for all abilities and are a great way for women just starting out with running to take part in an organised race, while also being ideal for seasoned runners."
