With a delicious vegetarian option on the pre-theatre, why not go for the "roast sweet potato, sage and parmesan gnocchi?"

The Curler's Rest, 256 Byres Road, Glasgow West End G12 8SH

The seasonal menu features "gnocchi with wild mushrooms, roasted squash, spinach and cannellini beans." Why not tuck in beside the fireplace upstairs?

Esca, 27 Chisholm Street, Glasgow Merchant City G1 5HA

Steven B was "over the moon" with the "great service and great food." Their gnocchi offering is served with peas and onion in a bolognaise sauce.

Panevino, 1075 Argyle Street, Glasgow West End G3 8LZ

Opting for the gnocchi with pancetta and peas, Pammi G says, "it was buttery and slippery which I always think is the way a gnocchi should be eaten. They were light and fluffy and very well cooked overall the whole dish was extremely tasty."

Paperinos, 227 Byres Road, Glasgow West End G12 8UD

Caley M was pleased that the gnocchi offering is suitable for vegans. She opted for a half portion with bruschetta - "the bruschetta was tasty, the tomatoes crisp and visible leaves of basil. "

Bex M loves "the mini margherita pizza (a very decent size with plenty of cheese), basil gnocchi (and I don't usually like gnocchi at all!) and mushroom tagliatelle!"

The Living Room, 150 St Vincent Street, Glasgow City Centre G2 5NR

One of the vegetarian offerings here is "homemade ricotta gnocchi with buttered samphire, pine nuts, purple sprouting broccoli and gremolata." Andrew M loves that it is "a restaurant that tries a little harder and manages to be both relaxed and informal while turning out excellent fare."

Sarti, 42 Renfield Street, Glasgow City Centre G2 1NF

Try the gnocchi alla sorrentine with cherry tomatoes, oregano, tomato sauce, baked with mozzarella. The gnocchi is fluffy and cooked perfectly - like a big hug.

Slouch, 203 Bath Street, Glasgow City Centre G2 3HZ

Hayley M raves "the food did not disappoint!" The market menu has two courses for £10.95 and includes "beetroot and butternut gnocchi in a Napoli sauce with feta cheese" as an option for main.
