READER Bill Innes took this brilliant, bright and sunny picture of a bustling Renfield Street in 1958.
Due to the fact that up until the 1980s newspapers could only publish in black and white, we don't often get to see colour pictures of old Glasgow.
Mr Innes says: "The lack of cars made jay-walking so much safer then. Look at the people dressed up to go to town, although the summer weather has tempted many men to leave hats and bunnets at home. Some will remember outfitters RW Forsyth, on the left, with a window full of club ties - and the newsreel cinema, with its steady diet of cartoons."
Also noticeable are the number of shop canopies and advertising signs.
