BETT Homes is holding a series of Help to Buy drop-in workshops at all of its developments across Scotland, from Inverkip on the Clyde coast to Burntisland on the Fife coast, later this month.

Staffed by experienced sales advisers and independent financial advisers, the events, from Monday until April 27, are designed to explain how the Scottish Government-backed Help to Buy scheme can work for both first and second-time buyers. And those who decide to proceed and reserve a property at the event will receive a special bonus - free floor coverings throughout their new home.

Bett Homes' sales and marketing director Theresa Barbour explains: "Buying a new home is a big decision and we want to do everything we can to make the process run as smoothly as possible for our customers.

"We have invited the best independent experts to our developments to give people a chance to ask questions and find out the facts about the Help to Buy shared equity scheme."

Richmond Gate in Glasgow's Oatlands area is one of the developments that will be hosting a Help to Buy drop-in event. One of its properties is the Maclellan, a two-bedroomed terraced house style with a downstairs cloakroom, open-plan designer fitted kitchen and living area, complete with integrated appliances and bi-fold doors to a rear deck, double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, single bedroom, and contemporary bathroom. Using Help to Buy, the Maclellan is priced at just £119,600 with a deposit of £7475.

Similarly, potential buyers who drop into the Help to Buy event at Bett's Aspect development in Wishaw, will find a selection of two, three and four-bedroomed house styles available, including the Hamilton, a three-bedroomed semi-detached family home that is available for £119,996 under the scheme, with a deposit of £7500. The Hamilton's accommodation includes a spacious open-plan kitchen and family area with access to the garden - integrated appliances are a bonus and include, oven hob, extractor, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

There is also a cloakroom, three upstairs bedrooms - master with en suite shower room and fitted wardrobes - and family bathroom.
