AN OFFICIAL tweed collection has been unveiled to celebrate golf's Ryder Cup tournament taking place in Scotland.
Harris Tweed Hebrides has created a 25-piece range of clothing and accessories from hacking jackets and plus fours to cufflinks and a hip flask.
The firm launched the limited edition collection at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, where top golfers will compete for the trophy in September.
The tweed will also be cut into the uniform for the junior Ryder Cup team, who will play in the run-up to the main competition.
Mark Hogarth, Harris Tweed Hebrides' creative director, said: "Our team was set the challenge of creating a tweed that complements the Ryder Cup livery and official tartan, but that also represents the unique blues of the Hebrides.
"Ken Kennedy, our head of pattern design, has created a stunning herringbone design."
The Lewis firm has partnered with Edinburgh retailer Walker Slater to produce the collection which will be sold online and at selected outlets.
Minister for Sports Shona Robison said: "The Ryder Cup Harris Tweed collection is an example of an iconic Scottish brand working to showcase the best of Scotland on the world stage."
