Skin looking tired and dehydrated after too much sun?
Help is at hand with the new- season skincare launches.
Many are on the counter now, others won't be available until the autumn but they are all worth a try.
A real game-changer in the skincare market, the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, £79, offers an affordable means to get your hands on one of these amazing gadgets, with other brands selling for nearly double the price.
The brush is designed to be used with Clinique's 3-Step Skincare System, but you can swap cleansers and moisturisers for your favourites. The results are cleaner, smoother skin, after just one use. Over time skin looks more radiant and pores less visible. The secret to good skin is thorough cleansing and this soft brush gently gets to work.
The oval brush has two strengths of bristles: use the white on cheeks and forehead and the green on the t-zone. The brush is angled to make it easy to get in at the side of the nose to thoroughly clean.
Suitable for all skin types and ages, it is at John Lewis now and will be on the counter at the end of the month.
We've had BB and CC creams, now get your hands on the first EE cream: Estee Lauder Enlighten Even Effect Skintone Corrector, £34.
Used under foundation or instead of, it comes in three sheer shades, for a naturally luminous finish. With SPF30 it protects against UV damage as well as irritating pollution. To give skin a more even, smooth appearance it has colour-correcting pigments for an extra boost of radiance.
Part of the new Enlighten Skintone Correcting Collection, available on counter from October, it accompanies a selection of products designed to even out skin tone day and night. Used together over time, skin should regain some of its natural vibrancy.
There is also an Enlighten Dark Spot Correct-ing Night Serum, £50, to reduce discol-ouration, redness, sun and dark spots, and an Enlighten Even Skintone Correct-ing Creme, £46. Lightweight and hydrating, it provides comfort and moisture all day. They smell great too, with a blend of iris, rose and lily of the valley with sandalwood and musk.
Been burning the candle at both ends and skin looking tired and dull? Give your complexion the equivalent of a good night's sleep with Origins GinZing Refreshing Mask, £23. Leave the cooling gel on for 10 minutes to give skin a boost, thanks to caffeine, cucumber, lemon oil and orange oil.
There is a new cocktail of natural ingredients in the Origins Dr Weil Mega Mushroom Collection, prices from £27.50, perfect for calming and soothing skin prone to redness and stress. Lightweight and oil-free, the Soothing Face Lotion reduces redness and sensitivity while the Advanced Face Serum calms skin while improving resilience to stress.
Use the ingenious applicator of Darphin Ideal Resource Anti-Dark Circle Eye Illuminator, £44, to soothe puffy skin. It brightens dull and tired eyes.
The perfect multi-tasker, Darphin Revitalizing Oil, £24, can be used on the face, body and hair. The essential oils offer an all-round sensory experience with ylang-ylang, rosewood, jasmine and lavender. Use on the face at night or add drops to hair before drying. On the counter in October.
