As the school summer holidays draw ever nearer, kids’ have the perfect chance to slip on their salopettes and have an ‘ice' time and practice ski and snowboarding skills at Snow Factor, Braehead with the return of its popular week-long Snow Camps.

Designed for beginner to expert skiers and snowboarders aged from 7-15 years old, the full-day supervised weekly (5 day) sessions promise fun-filled adventure whatever the holiday weather. The venue has also been selected to host Scotland’s first 4-day Atomic-Ambition Camp, during which young alpine ski racers will have the chance to improve their race technique under the guidance of expert coaches.

The Snow Camps are held on over 2,000 tonnes of real snow within Scotland’s only indoor real snow facility that in addition to the Tyrolean styled café bar also features a main (170m long) and kindergarten slope with uplift, a sledging and ice-luge run and even an ice-climbing wall. Jamie Smith, owner of Snow Factor International, commented: “Our popular Snow Camps are great value and promise non-stop fun for the kids as they learn and hone their ski and snowboarding skills with fully qualified instructors. Each day will consist of different challenges, some will be individual, some as teams and others simply against the clock. A number of different Snow Camps can be pre-booked; a ‘rookie’ (beginner), ‘rider’ (intermediate), ‘pro’ (experienced) and ‘freestyle’ camp.  Held from Monday-Friday each week, busy parents can drop their children off at 830am and collect them at 530pm. 

A week long, full day (8 hour) Snow Camp costs £239pp and is fully inclusive of expert instruction, equipment, slope pass, lunch and snacks during breaks. The Camps includes additional afternoon activities within the intu complex. There is a 30% Snow Camp discount for members of Snow Factor and a 10% discount for siblings.
