Would you like some free art to go with your beer?

Pop-up Belgian bar Heverlee at Tontine is hosting Antwerp graffiti artist DZIA who will be live painting the walls of the lane on Wednesday.

The artist, who has been commissioned by the likes of Mercedes and Dr Martens, specialises in painting urban settings quickly, completing many of his large scale animalistic murals in just one hour.

His mural of choice is a lion to highlight the similarities between Scotland and Belgium, which features on Scotland’s lion rampant flag and the Belgian coat of arms.

A spokesperson for Heverlee at Tontine said: "With dry weather forecast on Wednesday, our beer garden will be the best seat in town to enjoy a beer with a view… and what a view it will be.

"Innovative street art is a common phenomenon in Belgium, so it’s another example of a genuinely Belgian experience we’re bringing to Scotland. We hope people enjoy it!"

DZIA will be painting at Heverlee at Tontine from 1PM – 7PM on Wednesday 29 July.

Heverlee at Tontine is open daily from 17th July – 2nd August, 1.30pm – late.
