Who remembers being excited to get back to school after the Christmas break to show off your presents?
Let's face it most of us had the best time at Christmas as weans in Glasgow, and if you are of a certain age and grew up in the city, the chances are you received one of the following gifs.
They don't make gifts like this anymore, do they?
Gold jewellery in any shape or form. Star/square/hexagon bangles, sovereign rings with your favourite football team or the good old name chain - in case we forgot who we were. All this gold, did we think we were Mr T?
The Disney classics on video. Yes, remember that? The more you watched your favourite movie, the more it jumped.
They might be making a comeback but Care Bears were the teddy of choice for most 80s kids. We had the pjs too and we watched the TV show religiously.
But we loved Teddy Ruxpin too!
Cabbage Patch Dolls were funny looking alright but we loved them none the less.
Now 'tapes' summed up the musical year. You would spend all year listening to the radio, and stopping and recording to avoid the DJs voice. Then Santa would bring you a Now tape. There was no downloads and CDs weren't as popular.
And the 90s version of the iPod was the walkman. You would play your tapes on these obviously.
Endless hours playing Tetris or Super Mario Bros.
Can you remeber the graphics back in the day on the Sega Mega Drive? The kids don't know they are living nowadays.
Remember trying to keep this thing alive?
Or nodding enthusistically when you got this?
Why did we even want these in our bedroom? They were burny!
And don't get me started on these, the squeak everytime you moved.
How did we manage to keep these on our heids?
Come summer, you would pack this and take it on holiday.
You either traded pogs in the playground or...
You would complete your collection of SPL stickers with Christmas money. This was playground currency! Swapsies? Remember 'a shiny'?
Why did we all want pagers? We weren't doctors and we couldn't afford to send a message.
We really did hurt each other with these, didn't we?
Barbie Benetton was something else, wasn't she?
Trainee make-up artists in the making, weren't we?
Remember spokey dokeys for your bike?
Setting up a wendy house in your living room was entirely normal behaviour.
Collecting scraps and forcing your mum to get you more from Nashs everytime you walked past. A scrap book would start at Christmas and then you were hooked.
Your bestie wasn't your bestie until you exchanged one of these at Christmas.
Trolls had a different meaning in the 90s.
All good things come back eh? We had Turtles before our kids did.
Remember your first football boys?
What did we forget? What made your Christmas special?
