THE success of the BBC programme The Great British Bake Off has sparked a fantastic revival in baking.
It is an art and the great thing is there is an excellent reward when all the creative work is completed ... you get to eat what you have made.
People in Britain have always had a sweet tooth and the recent controversy about changes to a certain chocolate maker’s products have shown how we can get upset when subtle changes in our favourites are not to our liking.
So this worker at the R S McColl sweet factory in North Woodside Road, Glasgow, was right to take her time coating chocolate over almonds.
She is also taking care to arrange them so they will be nicely presented when they
go in the shop windows of the company’s stores all over Scotland.
Mary Berry would have been proud of her.
