1) The secret recepy to Krispy Kreme's delicious dough was disclosed to founder Vernon Rudolph from a New Orleans French chef, Joseph LeBouf.

 

2) Krispy Kreme has offered fundraising schemes from 1955, which has enabled many schools to buy uniforms and take school trips. The plan has also helped organisations buy air conditioners, pianos, and libraries for schools.

 

3) A typical Krispy Kreme Hotlight store produces more than 3,000 doughnuts per hour, but larger stores can produce up to 12,000 doughnuts per hour!

5)  On November 26, 2014, the Krispy Kreme fans of Perth “won the illustrious world record for most doughnuts purchased on the first day of Krispy Kreme trade, replacing the city’s unofficial world record for most Krispy Kremes smuggled on to a Jetstar flight,” Australia’s The Sunday Times wrote. Between its 9:30 a.m. opening time and midnight closing, the store moved a full 73,200 doughnuts.

6) The standing Guinness World Record for largest box of doughnuts is the Krispy Kreme box created by The Kuwait Food Co. Americana in 2009. The enormous cardboard box, an exact replica of a normal-sized one (including specially made labels), was around 19’ x 13’ x 3’, weighed almost 300 pounds (136 kg), and contained 2700 Krispy Kreme doughnuts.

10) In a perfect union of charity and vice, 10 friends in Raleigh, North Carolina started the Krispy Kreme Challenge. This stunning feat of athleticism begins with a 2.5 mile run from the Memorial Belltower to a local Krispy Kreme. There, the contestants eat a dozen glazed donuts before running all the way back to the monument. The run is used to raise money for the North Carolina Children's Hospital.

 

11) Tyler Cassidy, rapper name Krispy Kreme, conquered YouTube in 2012 with videos for singles like "The Baddest". Nowadays he goes by Froggy Fresh, because the real Krispy Kreme was not pleased he was copying their brand. That's right: Krispy Kreme had rap beef. And its rival backed right off. 

 

 

12) Krispy Kreme is behind the creation of the worlds most expensive donut, a $1,685 expensive gastronomic extravaganze made from Dom Perignon vintage 2002 Champagne jelly with raspberry and Chateau d’Yquem creme, a 23-carat gold-dusted Belgian white chocolate lotus flower, and sprinkled edible diamonds and gold dust. It was unveiled in Selfridges, London and awarded to prize winner Claudine Taylor
