A 'Viagra Vindaloo' has been created for couples looking to spice up their love lives this Valentine’s Day.
Edinburgh's craft beer & curry bar VDeep are behind the dish which incorporates slow braised pulled pork, masala vinegar and vindaloo spices.
The dish has been given its Valentine’s Day twist due to the inclusion of horny goat weed; a natural aphrodisiac that also goes by the name ‘randy beef grass’ and ‘bishop’s hat’.
The Vindaloo will be available as part of a set Valentine’s Day menu where diners will ‘speed date’ a selection of curry and craft beer pairings in a bid to find their perfect match.
VDeep General Manager Maxine Barrie thinks the spicy dish will get pulses racing.
She said: “Curry and Cupid aren’t traditionally bedfellows but this particular Vindaloo puts paid to that, proving you can add a little spice in more ways than one.
“Our alternative food-themed speed dating event keeps the focus purely on two of Scotland’s great loves – curry and craft beer – so whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with dates or mates, you’re bound to find your perfect match.”
Tickets for the VDeep VDay event are priced at £25 per person and can be booked by contacting the restaurant directly.
