When it comes to unisex fashion, trainers have always been at the cutting edge. The likes of Nike, Adidas and Converse have long been producing sneakers which appeal to both men and women. Indeed some of the most iconic designs of all time have been unisex – think of the retro Adidas Gazelle or Converse All Star.
The high street have tended to stay away, however. Until now. Swedish brand COS, which favours cutting edge minimal design, has launched its first ever cross department concept in footwear with a new sneaker range designed for men, women and children.
Versatile and modern, the wrap-over white leather sneaker is a clean slip-on style featuring an oversized elastic detail.
The shoes are available at the brand’s flagship Scottish store in Princes Square, Glasgow, as part of the spring and summer collection.
These days, of course, many people choose to have multiple pairs of trainers to match different activities, moods and colour schemes. And why not? Sneakers are the most comfortable footwear out there, and the informal modern approach allows them to be dressed up and down. So with this in mind, we’ve made a few suggestions on how to stick with the unisex concept.
