A NEW study has revealed how Glaswegians behave abroad.

They will consume 62 alcoholic drinks, have three rows, pick up four local phrases – and moan about being too hot eight times – on an average fortnight holiday abroad.

Researchers polled almost 2,000 British holidaymakers and revealed the highs and lows of a modern-day sunshine break.

The study, commissioned by affordable car hire booking firm autoeurope.co.uk, revealed Glaswegians will spend an average of £1,829 including everything from flights, accommodation and spending money, as well as fly a whopping 2,222 miles to reach the perfect destination.

They will also finish two books, and get over halfway through a third.

But they will spend almost three hours glued to mobile phones, iPads or laptops everyday – a staggering 42 hours during the entire holiday.

Around a third will sunbathe for three hours each day on average – and the study shows they will get lost and have to ask for directions twice during the fortnight’s holiday.
