STUNNING designs and cutting edge fashions have been modelled by Glasgow Caledonian University students as they gear up for their annual show next week.

Ania Cunningham will be among those taking part in the 2016 GCU Fashion Show on Thursday.

The third year student is seen in fellow student Ferne Jardine’s tartan design outfit in the college grounds.

Also taking part in the parade in the summer sunshine are, from left to right above, model Elizabeth McLennan and second year student Chloe Case, model Emma Cowan who is seen in third year student Heather Maclean. Also present again is Ania, wearing one of her own designs.

Fourth year student Vanessa Paisley and her model Mhairi McGowan, second year student Euan MacDougall and model Lauren Kerr, who is wearing his design are also pictured.

The second, third and fourth year students created garments inspired by historical costume; upcycled conceptual collections and reinvented the Paisley Pattern.

The GCU degree is the only one of its kind in Scotland which combines fashion design and business, the programme delivered from the state-of-the-art Fashion Factory on its Glasgow campus.
